I was sceptical at first until my girlfriend set this thing up and began printing some photo's she had lying about.
Astounding print quality. On "Everyday" photo paper, this thing dishes up prints which would be the kind you find from dropping off a reel of 35mm at the local printing shop.
Really impressed with the print quality but not so much the lack of a tray of some kind to hold the finished / printed outputs.
As it is, the printouts just drop out the bottom and I guess you'd best have the printer atop a tray of some kind to catch them lest they merrily go wafting down the front of the desk, onto the floor and into the waiting maw of the cat's water dish.
Requiring a re-print and subsequent usage of more ink, which I suppose is the entire point of CANON denying us the pleasure of a piddly, fiddly ZAR10 piece of plastic to catch the printed outputs.
So that's one star off of perfect for a printer with almost flawless outputs.
